Shoes for Europe, 2003 video 22’ (Central Station)
The works of the artist pay homage to the slow and laborious social evolution of the passage from East to West. The film is set in Ungheni station, on the border between Moldavia and Romania, where the East European train wheels are adapted to the West European standard. During this one and a half-hour stopoff, the passengers documents are checked. After the fall of the Soviet Union, the station underwent radical changes, becoming a shrine to the past and the symbol of a two-speed society.

Black Sea File, 2005 installation (Courtyard Biblioteca Delfini)
The “Black Sea File” research project is a work in progress based on the study of territorial transformation, on the movements of people and human trajectories in the light of the construction of the largest European oil pipeline. The project, recorded by the artist using video, photographs and personal accounts, crosses Europe from the Caspian to the Mediterranean seas, in a sequence of social, human and cultural lanscapes.

My Performance, 2005 performance (Dopo Lavoro Ferroviario)
Carrying on a tradition which places the body in centre stage, this artist from Warsaw frequently brings together political, social and religious mysticism in his performances and videos. He has prepared a new performance for Going Public together with a group of female immigrants. And it is Polish women – nurses and maids – to be found at the centre of a workshop on manual work and local pottery, using the Modenese Church of San Pietro, a key meeting place for the group.

Green Skull/ Info Kiosk, 2005 installation (courtyard of Biblioteca Delfini)
This group of artists and architects from Rotterdam has always worked on the concept of mobility and sharing. Their memorable AVL Ville project consists of a community-come-town where aspects of art and life are experienced collectively. At Going Public 2005 they will present a new project: a mobile structure/kiosk/info point reminiscent of the countless kiosks dotted around the sqaures and streets of eastern European cities.
