Jean Fisher

freelance writer, explores contemporary art and postcoloniality. Former collaborator for Artforum (New York), she is editor of the anthologies Global Visions, Reverberations: Tactics of Resistance, Forms of Agency and, with Gerardo Mosquera, Over Here: International Perspectives on Art and Culture. She contributed to the catalogues of Documenta XI (2002) and Sharjah International Biennial (2005) and is author of monographs about: Francis Alÿs, Sonia Boyce, James Coleman, Willie Doherty, Jimmie Durham, Edgar Heap of Birds and Black Audio Film Collective. She currently teaches at the Royal College of Art, London and is Professor of Fine Art and Transcultural Studies at Middlesex University.
