EAST/WEST, 2005 drawings on wall (Dopo Lavoro Ferroviario)
An intellectual and concept artist, in ’92 he was among the founders of the Bucarest journal Lettera 22 (22nd December 1989, date of the revolt against Ceausescu), the greatest source of cultural information in the country. The artist is known for his ironic pencil sketches, which clearly represent the contrasts and communication difficulties between East and West and the pressures placed on post-Communist societies. For Going Public, the simple and spontaneous act of drawing backed by the artist’s strong political conscience will adorn the walls of the Dopo Lavoro Ferroviario as well as the pages of the local paper the “Gazzetta di Modena”.
