Former collaborator for Artforum (New York), she is editor of the anthologies Global Visions, Reverberations: Tactics of Resistance, Forms of Agency and, with Gerardo Mosquera, Over Here: International Perspectives on Art and Culture. She contributed to the catalogues of Documenta XI (2002) and Sharjah International Biennial (2005) and is author of monographs about: Francis Alÿs, Sonia Boyce, James Coleman, Willie Doherty, Jimmie Durham, Edgar Heap of Birds and Black Audio Film Collective. She currently teaches at the Royal College of Art, London and is Professor of Fine Art and Transcultural Studies at Middlesex University.

He was the curator of Padiglione Italia at Venice Architecture Biennial (2008) and is now involved in setting up an interdisciplinary platform for collaborative practices and urban interventions based in Rotterdam. He has lectured, taught, curated and organized conferences in many institutions worldwide and is currently guest teacher at Technical University in Delft. As a writer and critic he is contributor to several magazines, such as Volume (Amsterdam), Artforum (New York) and L'Espresso (Rome).

He has been Exhibition Commissioner for Alain Daniélou Foundation since 2001 and director of literary magazine Nejma since 2007. He has been director of the bookshop Des Colonnes since 2005. Among his books are Le Portrait (2008) and Tanger, Ville Frontière (2008), whereas in 2009 he will publish Niemand and Tanger Fac-similé.

She was awarded an Arts Council England International Fellowship in 2006 to research island occupations in the East Indian Ocean, and an Artist Links Award in 2005 to work and exhibit in China. is an art historian and a museologist. She is President of the Board of Trustees of the State Museum of Contemporary Art, Thessaloniki and Artistic Director of the J. F. Costopoulos Foundation, Athens. She has curated solo and group exhibitions and was Commissioner for Greece at Bienal de São Paulo (1996) and Venice Biennial (2005). She has authored essays in several publications and exhibition catalogues and has been a member of the Artistic Committee of the Athens METRO since 1998. She has been curator of the Alpha Bank Art Collection since 1992.

studied History of Contemporary Art, Museology and Management of Cultural Heritage. He did research at INHA (Institut National d’Histoire de l’Art), Paris, CCCB (Centre de Cultura Contempòrania de Barcelona) and Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona. He taught at CEA in Barcelona, University of Catania, School of Fine Arts, Palermo and University Kore in Enna. Since 2007 he has been director of the series Piccola Biblioteca d’Arte for Gruppo Editoriale Kalós in Palermo.

He uses video, photography, installation, performance and public intervention so as to discuss upon aspects of a hidden reality which artistic practice brings to the fore, making them object of search and reflection. His work has been recently exhibited in Milan (La Triennale di Milano, 2008; Galleria Raffaella Cortese, 2007 e 2008; Care Of, 2005), Venice (Giardini della Biennale, 2007) and Beijing (Marella Gallery, 2007).

after graduating from Glasgow School of Art, he moved to Liverpool, where he established Jump Ship Rat, artist led multimedia exhibition space and international creative production. As an artist he employs a wide range of mediums, creating mobile, itinerant and site-specific interventions that explore the city as playground and art as ‘cultural hijack’.
